Fall
Fall Wedding Color Palettes for Hamilton and Niagara Couples
February 20, 2026 · 4 min read · Toronto
Fall weddings in Hamilton and Niagara have a built in advantage. The landscape does half the work. The trick is to build a palette that complements the outdoors instead of competing with it.
Burgundy and dark rose are the classic fall base. They photograph beautifully against natural wood and stone, and they hold up under warm tungsten lighting. Use them as the dominant note for the largest pieces, like the head table and the entrance arrangement.
Rust and copper add warmth. Where burgundy can read formal, rust softens it. Use copper in the table accents (flatware, candle holders, chargers) for a layered look.
Dusty rose lightens the room. A fully burgundy wedding can feel heavy. Add dusty rose in the floral arrangements and the bridesmaids' dresses to lift the palette.
Deep gold instead of bright gold. For fall, swap the bright champagne gold of spring weddings for a deeper antiqued gold. It pairs better with the burgundy and rust without feeling formal.
Greenery shifts in fall. Eucalyptus stays, but consider adding rust toned olive branches, dried palms, or pampas grass for texture. Used sparingly, they add a modern note without breaking the palette.
